There and back again

We have a backup system. We end up using it more than we want to because Windows 10 updates are relentless. It’s not that updating software is a bad thing, especially with the number of security exploits out there, it’s just that Microsoft has an unfortunate habit of ramming the damn things down your throat. We pre-emptively apply updates every few days to prevent Windows from taking our system offline without warning to update on its own. No one likes an hour of dead air.

I’ve assembled some audio files that give listeners a warning now when we go from the primary automation to the secondary and back again so they know not to surf away during the dead air. Here they are:

I messed with Windows text to speech to get the audio as I wanted these to sound a bit robotic. The files were mixed using Mixpad by NCH Software.
